Each of the 2.2 million inhabitants of the French capital consumes 120 liters of potable water a day. Yet what Parisians don’t know is that behind this basic service is a colossal feat of engineering requiring thousands of men and women working 24/7 to fulfill their clean water needs, and a sprawling network of 2500 kilometers (1500 miles) of sewers and 470 linear kilometers (290 linear miles) of aqueduct to transport it. At least 550,000,000 liters of water are used each day in Paris¾the equivalent of 275 olympic pools! What kind of technology is needed to keep this hydraulic megastructure operational? What tools ensure the safety of this vital element? A documentary that immerses us in the fascinating world of a complex and invisible system.
